The iPad 2 and massive game sales

The big sales are underway! Lots of studios and smaller independents are putting games on sale to coincide with the release of the iPad 2. Gameloft, EA Mobile (I think EA could have done a little better as far as sale prices go…) and others are dropping the price so you can play the latest games on the latest device. Others, like Firemint, have just come out with HD games (Real Racing 2 HD) that are optimized for the speed and graphics capabilities of the iPad 2.

Even if you aren’t grabbing a new device you should be able to pick up some pretty sweet deals throughout the weekend. You’ll need to keep an eye on sites like AppShopper.com to see the latest price drops. Other apps like Bryce Manor HD, Tower Madness HD, Pocket God, Flight Control HD and Worms HD have already had price drops. Should be a pretty exciting weekend!

And don’t forget, tomorrow Dungeon Hunter 2 HD will go on sale for $0.99. It may not be a massive improvement over the original game but you can’t beat a price of $0.99 for an iPad title.

Here’s a pretty good list of the game sales so far:
