Ryan Reynolds, Denzel Washington in "Safehouse"

Went and saw this movie last night and it’s pretty good. There is nothing new with the story, but the acting is intense and the action is non-stop. Just when things look like they might be slowing down to take a breath it kicks back off again and we’re back in another car chase or someone comes crashing through the door. This won’t win any Academy Awards, but I had a good time with it.

As a point of reference it’s a bit of a mix of Man on Fire with some tinges of Training Day. It’s also a new twist to see Ryan Reynolds in a dramatic role. If you’re looking for some wanton destruction and wild action, give it a go!
