Windows 8 doesn’t have a compelling feature set to warrant an upgrade
Lowest priced OS upgrade Microsoft has ever put out and it still struggles
Windows 8 is in no way taking the PC world by storm. If these numbers are to be believed, the adoption rate for Windows 8 is anemic at best.

Is this a slow burn or a true dud?

According to data compiled by web analytics firm Net Applications, Windows 8’s online usage share is a hair under 1.6 percent of all Windows PCs through December 22. When Windows Vista launched in 2007, its online usage share of all Windows PCs was 2.2 percent through the same time period.
