Let’s Go Crazy Behind the Handlebars of LocoCycle

It’s time to jump on board the LocoCycle, a wickedly outrageous motorcycle combat simulator. Not combat while riding a motorcycle, but a motorcycle that is capable of martial arts combat movies.  IRIS, who recently became self aware after a heavy bolt of lightning ends up in garage of mechanic Pablo and discovers the Freedom Festival in California and takes to the open road to meet up with her like-minded brethren. Pablo, gets drafted into taking the journey with IRIS since he’s caught in the motorcycle chassis. His pant leg and boot are made of some hearty stuff and his undies must be fireproof. Thus begins the adventures of Iris and Pablo. But this is a rogue motorcycle and the G-Men want her back. It’s going to be a wild ride amigos! I have to admit, I’ve never done martial arts move with a motorcycle against a jetpack wearing nemesis. This is the intro and the first mission – which I […]

Call of Juarez Gunslinger on Sale at Steam

I bought this game a few months back and have enjoyed the hell out of it. I’m usually not one for first person shooters. The idea of running around some abandoned building, industrial park or space station really doesn’t appeal to me. But you put me in the Old West with some six-shooters, sawn off shotguns and bundles of dynamite and now you have my interest. Gunslinger is a retelling of the Old West as seen by Silas Greaves. He’s on the path of vengeance and while sitting in a saloon he tells his story. You play along, performing the heroic deeds, deadly escapes and multiple head shots. It’s very similar to the old style arcade pop-up games where the bad guys dart out and you have to pick them off. In that respect it’s incredibly fun and satisfying. There are plenty of missions that allow you spend just a few minutes unloading your guns or string them all together […]

Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol on Sale at Steam

I first played Ace Patrol on the iPad and found it to be a pretty neat little game. At the outset, the idea of a turn based dogfight game seemed a little odd, but it actually works out quite nicely. The object of Ace Patrol is to defend the skies. You lead your squadron on missions where the ultimate goal is to shoot down the enemy. Each plane and pilot can earn new maneuvers like roll, slip, loop and others. You use all of these to sneak up behind or go head to head with other pilots. When you plot your moves correctly it’s quite satisfying. When you predict the wrong flight path, you’ll be slapping your head. The iPad version is free to try out and you can buy the entire mission pack for $3.99 which is a pretty sweet deal. But not to be outdone, there is a PC version and it’s on sale at Steam for a […]

Will the iPad 5 be a step toward a gaming console?

News and release of the next generation iPad or iPad 5 is imminent and I wonder what Apple has done to the innards? Even though it’s been a top seller since the first one hit the streets, it’s not really jumping ahead in leaps and bounds anymore. Samsung is making some impressive hardware and Amazon is following suit with some really impressive and cost effective devices. It would seem the iPad is going to come with 64 bit which is very cool and makes me wonder if this is the first step in the iPad becoming a game console. Well, the first step would have been to build a massive game catalog which Apple has already done, so 64 bit and multiple cores would be the second step. You can’t deny the quality of the games that are coming out for the iPad and not just silly games like Angry Birds. Look at Need for Speed, Asphalt and Real Racing. […]

Play for Power Limited Time Quest Event for Crime City

A new Limited Time event has begun! The "Play for Power" is a 44 goal event that is PvE or Energy based where you have to do jobs across various parts of the map. It’s starts off at the beginning in the East Side and works forward. Right now there are three events going on at once – The Toy Box Event, The Heidi Klaus Epic Boss Event and the Play for Power Event. If you’re making progress on each front you should be racking up some nice prizes and gaining some serious attack points. I’ve completed the first 14 Levels of the new event, but make no mistake, it’s going to eat energy like crazy. It’s been a good start, but getting halfway is going to be a grind. This is the list of events, energy used and prizes so far. Hopefully this will help plot your course through the event. And feel free to post your progress. I […]
