SpinTire for Sale on Steam – 40% Off

Here’s something for the holidays (yes, Halloween is a holiday!) SpinTires is on sale at Steam for 40% Off. This brings the price down to $17.99 from the regular $30. That’s not too shabby. If you haven’t seen SpinTires, it’s an offroad adventure full of heavy duty military trucks converted to the logging business. The goal is to explore the map, carry out tasks (such as loading lumber) and not get stuck. The getting stuck part is probably the hardest to avoid. Now, before we get too far, this is indeed a slow paced game. This isn’t racing. Not only is the top speed a mere crawl since you’re in an 8 wheeled transport rig, but the terrain is insanely difficult, full of trees, rivers and mud that will try to swallow you whole. More Steam Early Access Titles – The Forest and Killing Floor

My list of Early Access games just keeps growing and growing. I just added The Forest to my collection. I’m not normally one to play these survival style games, but this looks quite appealing and certainly fits with the Halloween season. The reviews also make it seem quite humorous and bawdy so I’m willing to give it a try. Plus, I like supporting Early Access projects. Another Halloween themed title made it into my cart as well – The Killing Floor – Complete Bundle. Now this just looks nut. It looks like all out carnage and mayhem with a ton of DLC to add to the experience. The whole bundle is mere pennies on the dollar so it’s a really good purchase. Big Savings on Banished and Democracy 3 at GOG.Com

Well, take a look at this – GOG.com is having a sale on Banished and Democracy 3 as well as several other titles. If you remember I’m a huge fan of Banished and love playing it. The graphics are great and while the game is easy to play, it’s still quite difficult. One wrong move and you will scar your community for generations. It’s normally $19.99, but GOG has it on sale for $7.99. That’s a steal! I highly recommend grabbing a copy! Democracy 3 is a new game I just picked up and while it seems easy, oh my goodness, Mistakes Were Made. Think you can run the country and make the right decisions? Well, give it a god. This is deep game with lots of choices that affect lots of different people and groups. I just started playing and have already doomed my political career. Some fun new titles hit the Steam Store while others go on Sale

Some interesting new titles are available on the Steam Store just in time for the weekend. First up, we have a new version of Gauntlet! For those of us who remember the 4 person standup coin game this could be good news! This was one of my favorites from back in the day and nothing has really come close to modeling that same experience. I’m not sure if the new Gauntlet is that game, but I’m still excited to see it out there. The game has just released so the votes are still coming in. For $20, let’s hope this is a steal of a title. Anyone remember Moorhuhn? If you’re scratching you’re head just move on. But those who remember this from the old Johnnie Walker advertisement should be amused to hear there is another installment – Moorhuhn Tiger and Chicken. It’s a Codemasters Weekend over at Steam – Big 75% Off Sale

The weekend is here so it’s time to jump behind the wheel and get down to some racing. Steam is having a big weekend sale on all Codemaster titles. This includes Dirt Showdown, Dirt 3, the Grid Series including the new Grid Autosport including DLC and Season Pass. There’s a lot to choose from. This new Grid Autosport is really calling my name. I normally wait several months before getting a new title like this just so all the glitches get worked out and people have a chance to leave their review. Oddly, those same reviews are a little mixed for this game. Some people seem to love it, others seem to hate it. I’ve liked all their other titles so I don’t see any reason why this won’t be a good one. But lots of fun things to choose from in this sale.
