Survival Craft and Minecraft top the AppStore

There must be a resurgence to play in the dirt, Survival Craft and Minecraft are the Top 2 apps in the AppStore. That’s some pretty good entertainment for around $10. I haven’t grabbed either of these games yet since I’ve renewed my own digging in the dirt with the PC version. I’ve just completed my wheat and sugar cane farms. There’s an abandoned mine shaft that needs investigation and I have a glass greenhouse to make, Still, it’s very cool these two apps are topping the charts. It’s nice to see something besides Angry Birds.

Survival Craft is No. 1 in the App Store

Wow, this is very cool. Survival Craft was released just a few days ago and has already hit #1 in the App Store. The reviews are coming in strong and show Survival Craft to be a pretty worthy game. It’s not just a clone, but something a little different. They share common ground, but go in different directions. I haven’t picked up my copy yet, but I think I’ll have to jump on board. I enjoyed my Monecraft adventures of last night, even if a flaming zombie turned me into a funeral pyre. Survival Craft

I know Notch and the Mojang team are working like mad to make the experience the same on the PC and Mobile space, but they seem to have too many hands in too many pies. I’ve tried other clones and there is always something wrong. Either the movement is too difficult or frustrating or the actual experience is lacking. Most of them look the same so it’s not the graphics, you’re just limited on what you can do. The YouTube videos on SurvivalCraft look quite compelling. One […]
