Hot Apple fanboy love

The big day of Apple fanboy love is here. Don got his new iPhone4 and Theo got his new iPad right off the Fedex truck. Of course I’m jealous of the iPad and long for the day when I get mine. We didn’t get to spend too much time with the iPhone (work always gets in the way of having a good time) but from what I did see it was quite cool. I’m not sure it really needed to be thinner but the display is very bright and readable and the new camera features are pretty kickass. It certainly looked faster when launching apps and the quick demo of the front facing camera was pretty neat. I have none of the previous iPhone models so I’m not getting this one either but there was much swooning over it by others in the building. I like the feature set though. Using software without having to think

This article is brilliant! That was when I saw it: in a handful of minutes on completely unfamiliar hardware and software (no, I don’t have an iPhone), with an unusual multitouch interface I’d just ‘done’ things without having to think about them, without having to learn anything, without having to struggle. Gameloft is having a $0.99 sale of their own!

Not to be outdone, Gameloft is celebrating the release of the iPhone4 by putting several of their big titles on sale for $0.99! GT Racing: Motor Academy UNO Brothers in Arms 2: Global Front Gangstar: West Coast Hustle Shrek Kart N.O.V.A. Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles I think I’ll be getting most of these! This is an awesome and most of the games were $4.99 before the drop so it’s a big savings! That iPad, it might just catch on

Wow, Apple has sold 3 million iPads in less than 90 days. I think we were all blown away when Apple sold a million in a single month but here we see they’re keeping that same pace and it’s hard to say if there’s any signs of slowing down. Of course, what competition is there? Apple will probably go unchallenged for next few months, possibly even into Christmas. Even if Apple slows down to a mere 500.000 units per month, that’s still 6 million or so iPad in the hands of customers by the end of the year. That’s a hell of a lot of sales, and a huge base of customers for casual games, books and streaming movies. I’m still jealous of people who have one. My buddy Theo should be getting his on Friday. And Don should be getting his iPhone 4 tomorrow. Let the Apple love flow! 🙂

Huge $0.99 Sale on Electronic Arts Mobile Games!

And I mean huge! In fact, it pisses me off! Need for Speed: Undercover and Need for Speed: Shift are both on sale for $0.99 and I just bought them for $2.99 and 4.99!! Damn you! Man I could saved a ton on those two games alone! But anyway, other games on sale for $0.99 include The Game of Life, Yahtzee, Trivial Pursuit, Madden NFL 10, FIFA 10, Simcity, NBA Live and Tiger Woods. Just getting Need for Speed for $0.99 is worth it! Man! I wish I would have waited a week! But oh well, I’m grabbing a couple games to make up for it! Oh yeah, the sale is only for 48 hours, so get a move on!
