And then I derailed. Again.

I admit freely that it’s a good thing I never tried to become a train engineer. According to Railworks I would have caused millions of dollars in damage and buried many people in rubble and twisted metal. It seems I have a habit of crashing into other trains or derailing them outright.

The first goal was to couple with another train. That went poorly. I misjudged the speed and the distance and to make a long story short there was a mighty boom.

I next misjudged how to set the junctions and part of my train down one track and part of it down another. A train does not exist very well across two tracks and it toppled over. And this was after I’d been driving it for over 30 minutes so imagine the gnashing of teeth. It was total disappointment.

Obviously I have some reading to do in order to understand the controls. And I probably should go around clicking on things and saying, "what does this do?"

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
