And then there was another iPad
I brought home another iPad last night. Sadly not an iPad 2, but an original 32GB WiFi model in excellent condition. A friend of mine went ahead and pulled the trigger on an upgrade. Then the iPad shuffle began. He gets the new model, which he bought using his iPhone on the way to back to his car after the Apple Store told him they didn’t have any in stock, his wife gets his older model, which has 3G and I ended up with hers. Well, my wife ends up with it since I already have one. I am trying to seduce her over to the dark side.
She has been a Franklin Covey planner gal for years but I feel the might power of the iPad may be able to help her. The planner is big and bulky and where do you store them? I think apps like Appigo ToDo, Notebooks for iPad, Awesome Note, Chapters, Penultimate, Goodreader and Notes Plus will do well in a business setting.
I also realized as I was setting up the iPad with apps that I haven’t synced my iPad with iTunes for nearly 6 months. I had to wait while dozens of apps copied themselves into the library. I suppose I should backup and sync it a little more often but it’s so self-contained I completely forget about doing it.
I also discovered that my iPad is stuffed to the gills! Now 25GB of that are TV episodes and movies so that’s a quick cleanup. But damn, I have way more apps and games on this thing than I know what to do with. Time for some cleanup work.
