💬 Some fun with Comic Life 3 and AI images 🖼

I previously wrote of my adventures and amusement with Comic Life 3. I’ve also discussed toying around with AI image generator. So, what happens when you combine the two? Is it possible to make comics using AI image generation and the correct prompts? Simple answer is yes. The idea came from my kids who brought up Halloween where one wanted to be a zombie character. The other asked why not Spider-Man? Even though there is Venom, the answer was a simple, Spider-Man isn’t scary. Zombies are fun and scary. Spider-Man isn’t a zombie. But, could he be? Could you stretch the bounds for Halloween? I went to the AI generator to run a couple prompts through the processor. This set the wheels of imagination turning. 💵 Paying for computer cycles likes it’s 1969

It’s interesting to see all these AI servers popping up all over the web. Some are language models, while others are specifically for image generation. What’s also interesting is how these system harken back to the mainframe days where you need to pay to use the cycles. Want a more comprehensive answer? Pay for credits or buy a subscription. Want an image larger than a postage stamp? Want to use something other than the craptacular demo render model for an image? Want to move your request up in the queue? I can understand these. There is a fair bit of computing power at play for generating AI images. It’s just funny how this model is a mirror of the early days of computing. You may have stacks of CPUs, GPUs, and Ram, but no work is done on your machine. A closer look at Besiege! Plus video!

So I’ve had Besiege for a few days and it is absolutely awesome! It may be Early Access, but it works so well and already has so much to offer and so many things to play around with! Not only is this one of the best sub $10 games I’ve ever bought, it is well on it’s way to becoming one of my favorite games of all time. I can’t wait for the rest of the content to be added to see what these guys come up with. But even with the single "world" there are dozens of challenges to complete not to mention the sandbox. Just because you finish a level doesn’t mean you can’t go back and build an even bigger, better machine that handles the tasks better or faster. How to use a mobile device… correctly

This is brilliant, I wish more people would offer out this advice. Honestly, I wish more adults would pay attention to these rules and guidelines. Let’s all try to adhere to this one shall we? 11.  Turn it off, silence it, put it away in public.  Especially in a restaurant, at the movies, or while speaking with another human being.  You are not a rude person; do not allow the iPhone to change that.
