Elementary – Not a bad series featuring yet another Sherlock Holmes

I’m a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and detective stories in general and enjoy plenty of the variations that have been explored over the past couple of years – except Sherlock with Robert Downey Jr, that was a piece of crap. But I have to admit I was a little hesitant when the new CBS version came out with Watson being portrayed by Lucy Liu. It seemed like they were stepped a little too far out of the shadows. Making Holmes a recovering drug addict, sticking him in the middle of New York and covering him in tattoos was also a little outside the norm. However, all things considered, this isn’t a bad little series. Jonny Lee Miller as Holmes keeps with many of the quirks and idiosyncrasies. New Sherlock Holmes series coming to BBC

Can’t wait for this series. The first three were awesome! I’m a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and his many variations, except for that Robert Downey Jr version which was rubbish. This is a top notch show that relies on the actual story and not CGI to make it work. If you like a good mystery and fine acting grab the first series on DVD. Does Sherlock survive the new series?
