Keeping connected with Digsby

Using Flock got me to thinking about Digsby (which I recently started using) and how it can connect to multiple services at one time. At work I am connected to MSN, Yahoo and ICQ at the same time. Why people use ICQ is beyond me, but they do and now so do I. I used to run three seperate apps, but Digsby now gets me there with just one app. I read about it in MaxiumumPC and decided to give it a try for myself. Very lemming-esque I know, but hey, sometimes it works out.

That fact alone makes Digsby very cool, but it also allows me to connect to Gmail, Yahoo mail, and Hotmail all at the same time. I can keep up with any incoming email across all three systems without having to check them all the time.

I don’t have the services, but you can also keep track of Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn at the same time. From this one app, I can keep track of IM, Email and Social Network in a more updated manner than Flock gives me. I still don’t get a notification a new email has come into my Gmail account.

If you want to keep connected give Digsby a try, I’ve had it running for about 2 weeks now and it’s pretty cool.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.
