I was confused by 24

Since I haven’t watched most of the season I guess it’s my own fauly, but the season finale kind of confused me. However, it only took mere seconds of Elisa Cuthbert being on screen to make me groan. Everytime she shows up it’s always the same thing. Every cliche horror mistake is larger than life right there on the screen. Tony was denied his revenge. Clearly he did not read the evil doers handbook which says you should avoid making a soliloquy and revealing all your plans and reasons until your opponent is dead! He took to long and now he’s been arrested. Shoot first, then explain what the hell you did it for later. Aaron proves he is still a badass and knows all. When you need master trickery he is the man for the job. But at least the President did the right and didn’t cover up the misdeeds of her daughter. Of course the husband is a […]

24 Season Finale

Well alrighty then. The final 2 hours of 24 are almost at hand. I’m multiple episodes behind so I’m only vaguely aware of what’s going on. Bill is feeling a little under the weather, Jack has a bit of a cough and Tony is behaving badly. I guess we’ll see how this all turns out. I get to watch it on the big screen. All 9 feet of it with surround sound goodness. Jack Bauer is life size! I’m pretty sure we’ll see the body count rise in these last two hours!

A new TV series in the making?

With the wild success of Star Trek, will this get rolled into a new TV series? With everything finishing up for the season there would be plenty of time to get a series done for the new season. The only real stumbling block seems to be getting Zachary Quinto off Heroes and into this new role. Since I gave up on Heroes for this season I have no idea if he’s even still a part of the show and what his future is. I for one would be tuning in if they went the Star Trek route.

Angels & Demons just beats out Star Trek

Wow, Angels & Demons made $48 million for the weekend with Star Trek making $43 in its second weekend out. Looks like Star Trek is riding a serious wave of fan excitement. With Terminator (which I think looks like total crap) coming next weekend, how will this ranking shake out? Personally, I see Star Trek back on top with around $30 million or more in sales. Angels & Demons should pick up next weekend, but it may take a few more weeks before anybody really gains ground against this new Star Trek flick.

Slow progress

The formatting took an exceptionally long time to complete so I just barely got Windows installed last night. There was some odd glitch where XP installed as the K: drive so I had to reinstall to fix that. I managed to get the video, audio and network drivers on there and just finished SP3 before the end of the night. The video proved to be a bit annoying. I have 2 video cards and three monitors so the system was all confused over which monitor was which and what order they should display in. That’s about as far as I got. I have to say a new install of XP is wicked fast. It feels like I can get to a desktop within 20 seconds of reboot, if it even takes that long. I’m going to have to be careful with adding apps that install services which will slow everything down. I doubt I will be able to finish the […]
