The Web is Alive – with the sound of Apple

My God, the web is just buzzing with all sorts of reports and analysis of the Apple event yesterday. Truthfully I think it was a little underwhelming for all this sort of commentary.

The Zune is still going to be a flash in the pan compared to the iPod. Their fast and loose usage of the “HD” moniker isn’t going to save the MS device from being relegated to a 3rd rate device behind the iPod and the Android. Hell, the Creative entry will beat out the Zune over the long haul.

The only thing the Zune has going for it is that for right now it’s cheaper. From a customer side the iPod has more apps. From the dev side, iPod has more customers (read purchasers). I guess it’s a pretty hard decision about which platform to write for.
