I’ve almost completed Cover Orange

I’m so close to the end of Cover Orange, or at least I was until they came out with a new update. 🙂 I have just crossed the threshold of level 105, but now it seems they moved the end further out. More puzzles await as I keep plugging away at this one. I’m really enjoying this game. Its simplistic beauty has me hooked. And by the way how can people possibly sell a cheat app for nearly as much as the game costs? I mean seriously, have they not looked at YouTube?

Atomic Browser is well worth the price

I’ve been using the Atomic Browser for a week now and I have to admit I didn’t realize how much I missed tabs. The Safari is browser is fine, but once you work with tabs and saving files to Dropbox from within the browser Safari starts to take on a bit of tarnish. It’s not quite a stinky like IE6, but you readily see the lack of features. I was looking up recipes over the weekend and being able to simply click the tab to compare ingredients between multiple sites was fantastic. Plus, I’ve had no issues with viewing sites, creating bookmarks or any of the other standard browser features. I’ve since replaced Safari on the launch bar and will be using atomic browser from this point forward. It’s odd, this is very similar to how I felt when I ditched IE for Firefox back in the FF 2.x days. At a mere $0.99 I see no reason not to […]

Atomic Browser – Tabbed Browsing for the iPad

I downloaded Atomic Browser last night and despite the unusual name (which ironically is very similar to the name of an app I wrote in college that put me on the foul side of the phone company) it’s an excellent replacement to the Safari browser. I’ve really haven’t had much need to replace Safari since I think it does a competent job. Not until now. Atomic Browser supports some very useful features such as tabbed browsing, support for saving web attachments to Dropbox and User Agent String switching so you don’t always have to view the mobile version of the site. There are other features too like Adblock, Passcode Lock, Facebook/Twitter Integration as well as a full screen mode. I used it for a couple of hours last night and I forgot just how much I miss tabbed browsing. Safari handles multiple pages fairly well, but there is no substitute for actual tabs. And the ability to save pictures or […]

Victim of Cover Orange Addiction

I played hours of Cover Orange yesterday! I decided to upgrade to the full version and worked through 70+ levels by the time I forced myself to stop for dinner and Top Gear. Of course after I finished those I started right back up again. That game is a hell of a lot of fun. Some of the solutions seem too easy to try while others leave you staring at the screen wondering what to do next. But a great game and certainly worth the $1.99. Hell, that’s cheaper than popcorn seasoning! It’s really a great blend of simplicity and challenge.

Cut the Rope HD

So I finally tried Cut the Rope (Holiday Gift) last night and all the reviews are right, that game is really good. Like Cover Orange my plan was just to try out a couple of levels and see what all the fuss was about. Curse these wicked games and their deceptively easy start! I breezed through the first few levels and then came the bubbles and the teleporting Christmas Stockings and the squeeze bottle and the uncontrollable desire to grab all three stars! And before I knew it I’d finished all the levels in the demo and felt like OnNom when the candy goes flying off the screen; full of disappointment and wanting for more! Damn this puzzle addiction!! I’m gonna have to get the full version of this game too! Although, I’m beginning to wonder if I have the coordination necessary to actually complete all the levels. Things got a bit frantic on some of those levels.
