Happy Mother’s Day!
We’re heading to the zoo to have brunch and see the sights. I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere.

Looks like something has snuck into our corporate computers. I’ve heard a couple people complain about machines behaving poorly and random websites opening. You know, I’m not even sure what the hell we use for AV. Apparently it’s not that good. I just bought a copy of SuperAntiSpyware for $20. That’s the lifetime license. That should keep the evildoers at bay. If you haven’t bought a copy, I seriously recommend it. It has a funny name, but it does a damn good job. $20 for a lifetime license? Yeah, that works for me. Got my Rush tickets! Ticketmaster had another presale. Tickets should be pretty good, they cost me enough. But hey, that’s the cost of being a fan some times. Should be a fun show, and right before Halloween too. At least it won’t be stinking hot! By the way, I’ve been watching a lot of excellent bike racing on YouTube. There are some great clips up there. Not […]
Time for the Rush summer concert series. This of course means the new album isn’t too far behind. Too bad I don’t have a Citibank Visa. Of course, I could blow all my pocket money and buy the VIP package, at a mere $325 a piece. I’m sure that would go over well. I could go to Savannah or the Virginia Creeper for a weekend on that kind of cash. It’s not quite Charlie Sheen money, but it’s more than I want to spend on a single night of entertainment.
It’s Cinco de Mayo! Time to download! I’ve combined my YouTube MP4 downloader with DownloadThemAll so now I can queue up dozens of videos at one time, set the download rate so as not to saturate the network and let my machine download a slew of cycling videos. I’ve looked into some commercial YouTube downloaders and this works much better. And since it is Cinco de Mayo, where did I put that Corona?
It’s an Australian import, just like myself, so of course I had to watch. I know people who know people. It’s a pretty cool show, if you like Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot. It’s set in the 1920’s in Australia and is based on a series of books by Kerry Greenwood. I haven’t heard of her work before, but after watching seeing the first episode, I’m very keen to learn more. Looks like she’s written a whole series of crime novels with Miss Fisher and has spun off another set.
