To Die for Designs – Limited Time Building – Crime City

The Limited Time Building is out, the To Die for Designs. The base income is $119,048 and a collection time of 20 hours. Initial purchase price is $10,000,000. This is another very affordable building, at least initially. It’s good until Level 6 and then I’m not so sure. The cost goes up dramatically and while the weapons are quite nice, although inflated all to hell) I don’t know if this is a billion dollar building. And to be honest, I’m not thrilled with the stats inflation we’re seeing right now. Sure, it’s fun to have a weapon with those numbers, but when everyone has one it doesn’t mean anything anymore. I guess this is new direction Gree is heading. Pretty soon Level 25 players will weird 5 million in attack points. Sort of seems unbalanced if you ask me. Those of us playing for over a year now remember having to work, plan and build to get good weapons and […]

Call of Juarez Gunslinger on Sale at Steam

I bought this game a few months back and have enjoyed the hell out of it. I’m usually not one for first person shooters. The idea of running around some abandoned building, industrial park or space station really doesn’t appeal to me. But you put me in the Old West with some six-shooters, sawn off shotguns and bundles of dynamite and now you have my interest. Gunslinger is a retelling of the Old West as seen by Silas Greaves. He’s on the path of vengeance and while sitting in a saloon he tells his story. You play along, performing the heroic deeds, deadly escapes and multiple head shots. It’s very similar to the old style arcade pop-up games where the bad guys dart out and you have to pick them off. In that respect it’s incredibly fun and satisfying. There are plenty of missions that allow you spend just a few minutes unloading your guns or string them all together […]

Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies for iPad and Desktop

A few months ago Sid Meier and 2K Publishing brought Ace Patrol to the iPad and made a name for themselves with turn based aerial combat. It seemed like a strange gameplay style at the time, but the game was free to try and affordable to purchase the extended content. And I did just that. I purchased all the campaigns and really enjoy this style of game. In an odd way it’s casual combat so you can take a few turns as time permits, put the game away and come right back to where you left off. The intrusions of modern life won’t interrupt your domination of the skies – it may simply put them on hold from time to time. The success of Ace Patrol has lead to Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies. It’s not an expansion pack per se, but a completely new game with new planes, characters and a slew of new missions – 180 according to 2K. […]

60 minutes and counting for Dead Man’s Draw

Now this has me nervous. There’s only an hour left in this campaign and still a few thousand dollars to raise. This is going to be very close. I know a lot of people wait until the very end before they pledge, but this is cutting it way too fine. I really hope people come together and bump up that number. It’ll be disappointing not to see this game come in physical form. It needs just a few more people to make it happen. Come on, throw in $5 bucks to help make this cool card game. It only needs a few more people to push this over the top. Who’s with me? Dead Man’s Draw – A Card Game of Risk and Reward
