Let’s Get Dirty in SpinTires!

SpinTires is a new game in development by Oovee. They recently had a Kickstarter campaign and have been given the Greenlight on Steam. I just downloaded their Tech Demo and took the 8×8 beast of a truck out for a spin. Jump on board as I scale some hills, play in the mud, ford the river (and nearly drown), knock over some trees and attempt to drive over a Jeep. It’s heavy metal military surplus vehicles versus nature as I see what this truck can do while I explore this new environment. It should come as no surprise that I ultimately end up face down in the dirt with my tires flailing in the air. I will say this is a pretty sweet looking game the environment is fun to drive around in. Hopefully, we’ll be able to buy the "full" version off Steam and get the ability to drive more vehicle and do more tasks. For right now with […]

Sweet Vengeance Limited Time Quest (LTQ) Prize and Reward List – Crime City

While in the middle of the Stanfa Family LTQ, Gree thought it would be fun to throw in another LTQ – this time the Sweet Vengeance LTQ, which is going to have 5 parts. And there are multiple jobs to each part so clearly this is going to use a slew and hopefully a ton of gold so you have to bust open your wallet if you have any chance in hell of getting it done. The prize is pretty sweet, but the odds of actually getting it without spending a vault of gold just don’t exist. I have to say, this sort of thing is highly annoying. The constant events, the ridiculous number of jobs needed to get them done, the astronomical amount of energy needed is just too damn much. I remember when this game used to be fun. Hell, I remember when you actually played the game and completed the missions. Now it’s nothing but Limited Buildings […]

Stanfa Thugs and Family LTQs Jobs and Rewards List – Crime City

Gree has put out a new LTQ/SLTQ and it’s a little bit on the confusing side when you first get started. The SLTQ portion is fine, it’s the usual energy based event of hitting the target hundreds of time to move on to the next level. The LTQ is a bit odd in that you either have to complete The Stanfa Thugs portion before you can complete the Stanfa Family portion. You need certain weapons to defeat certain family members. You can either complete the Stanfa Thugs portion or simply buy the items you need with gold or respect points. Yes, the respect points are actually going to be used for something. It comes off a little strange, but simply put, you need to complete levels in the Stanfa Thugs before you can complete jobs in the Stanfa Family event. Hey, at least they’re trying something new. Anyway, here is a list of the prizes available. These come compliments of […]

Let’s Take Another Spin Around the Track in Next Car Game

I’ve done some practice, but I’ll be the first to admit it might not be making me any better. Let’s take another spin around the track in the Early Access Preview of Next Car Game. I do my best to come out victorious in the demolition derby arena, I change my tires and go for broke on the gravel track and then set up the car for a full on race around the tarmac course. The opponents are brutal and come after me like I owe them a gambling debt. Take a ride with me as we once again go for a white knuckle drive around the Next Car Game test course. Even though it’s still early days, Next Car Game is already highly entertaining and the 3 available tracks are a challenge in their own right. The demolition derby satisfies the need to use and abuse a high powered muscle car and watch as every corner and panel crushes […]

Let’s Take a Spin in Next Car Game – the Early Access Preview Available From Steam

Next Car Game just hit Steam with a new playable demo and I literally just finished downloading it. This is more than just the Developer Preview we’ve seen before. Included in this revision are 2 tracks (gravel and tarmac) and a new demolition derby course. Previously we’ve had the Technology Preview, which was a playground full of toys where you could drive your car on some outrageous courses and watch the physics engine in motion. The Early Access version expands the game and offers a couple of real tracks and some hard banging competition. The game reminds me of the old Destruction Derby 2 game from the DOS days. I played that using the old Microsoft Sidewinder Joystick. Not the Force Feedback model, the other one. It was an awesome game and back in the day watching a car take damage and feeling the driving ability change because the front wheels are smashed in was a thrilling experience. Next Car […]
