XYplorer Lifetime License Pro on Sale at BitsDuJour

To put it bluntly, the "file manager" that comes with Windows is useless and it’s been that way for decades. Here we are in 2015 and viewing files is about as primitive as can be. Microsoft thinks they’re giving you features by offering a List View, Details or Thumbnails. Oh my goodness, the power at my disposal. Yeah right.

While there are dozens of file manager replacements on the market, most aren’t any better than what you already have and if the y do have a few nice features, they hold you hostage with an outrageous price. There’s a choice, useless built-in software or highway robbery. Can I have a punch in the head on the side?

However, there is a glimmer of light in this dreary file manager world – XYPlorer. It is a fantastic piece of software that gives you useful basic features and useable advanced features. Things start off easy with multiple tabs for viewing files, color coding, sorting, file find and shortcuts. But then you also have tagging, folder size and scripting. To be honest, the list of features is far too extensive to list.

And there is even more good news, XYPlorer is on sale and comes with a lifetime license. Plus, you can install it on multiple machines. I bought a copy at least a year ago and have it on all my machines. It gets updated all the time so I think I’ve been through the 12, 13 and 14 series of updates and they’re still going.

Before XYPlorer there was Powerdesk which was pretty good, but even that pales in comparison to the tools I have now. My advice is to jump over to BitsDuJour and grab a copy and finally enjoy some real file management.
