But wait, AnyDVD rises from the ashes as Redfox

Even though Slysoft shut it’s doors, I wanted to get the final version of each of their products. But what to my surprise when I found there was Redfox.bz, a rebranding of AnyDVD and perhaps a complete resurrection of the product. According to Neowin, Redfox has a new version of AnyDVD that connects to the Online Protection Database which is part of the mojo that makes AnyDVD work so well.

Who knows if this is the real deal and how long it will stick around, but the forums are back up and running. You can’t buy new copies of AnyDVD, but if you have a valid license key, you can install and use the most recent update.

You can go to the download page and see the following changelog:

7.6.9.1 2016 03 01
AnyDVD reborn! SlySoft is dead, long live RedFox!
This is an intermediate release, so old customers can continue to use their existing AnyDVD license to watch their discs.
This version can access the new RedFox Online Protection Database
This version will only work, if already own a valid AnyDVD license
For compatibility with 3rd party programs, AnyDVD will still use "SlySoft" for directories and registry paths
It will replace an existing SlySoft AnyDVD installation
New (Blu-ray): Support for new discs
Some minor fixes and improvements
The fox is not completely back yet, but on it’s way…
