Do you remember the good old days of racing hell bent down the road with a lead pipe in your hand as you bash and kick you rivals in Road Rash? Do you remember it being just as important to crack your opponent in the skull as it was to reach the finish line? Do you remember weaving wildly back and forth only to smash headlong into a parked car? Do you remember that classic game that EA published back in 1995? Dead Man’s Draw Rises Again in Tabletop Forms in a Successful Kickstarter Project

If you remember several months ago, Stardock put together a Kickstarter project to bring their Dead Man’s Draw card game to life. It’s a nice twist on card games that’s something different from poker and is available for both iOS and PC. It was so close to succeeding, but just missed the mark which was a damn shame. And that appeared to be the end of things. Until now. Stardock has regrouped and teamed up with Mayday Games to bring it to life and onto the table. Mayday has put together a Kickstarter project that’s already funded, so the game is a reality. The only thing left to do now is try to grab a copy. Well ain’t this something, Age of Empires II: HD Edition is on sale for $4.99. If you missed the Steam Summer Sale or your trying to convince a buddy to join in a game, now’s the time to pick up a copy. This is a really good deal for a game for a smash hit of a game. I’ve talked a lot about the game and you’ve seen my epic failures, but don’t let that stop you! You know, I wish they would set up some AoE tournaments like they do for Dota 2, I would love to see some teams go head to head in some town sieging action. Video Capture from Applian and Audials – Replay Media Capture and Audials One 11

There comes a time when you need to download and or record your streaming media. The Tour de France is a prime example. So how do you go about such an endeavor? Well, Applian Video Capture and Audials One 11 will do the trick. I’ve actually recorded every stage of the Tour using Audlais and it works like a champ. Sure, it’s a long process since you have to play the entire 5-8 hour stage, but I’m on board with that. I either watch and record or set the computer to play overnight and save my recording in the morning. So far it’s been working extremely well and once you get the right settings dialed in, it’s a one-click process. Rise of Nations on sale for $13.39 – 33% off at Steam

Buy Rise of Nations: Extended Edition or HD Edition was recently released, but now it’s on sale for an even cheaper price. I picked up my copy for around $15 and today it’s only $13.39. I still think Age of Empires and Rise of Nations were some of the best games that came out of the RTS genre. So sad that genre went over the cliff. But the games live on even if the companies that actually developed them didn’t. AoE II and III have recently been redone and now Rise of Nations gets the HD treatment. Rise of Nations was also a great game and well worth the $13 it’s been offered for. If you haven’t picked up a copy, now is a great time. The sale will runs until Monday afternoon.
