EA to Acquire PopCap for $750 Million or more

The maker of Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled and a slew of other casual games is going to be part of the big EA mobile frontier. Electronic Arts has bought up PopCap for nearly $750 million with estimates ranging into the billions for the whole deal. Seems like a hell of a lot for a little puzzle making company, but PopCap has a pretty impressive catalog of games. So does this spell doom and gloom for the small development house or will this propel them to bigger and better things? Keep in mind that Bejeweled is about on every platform out there and Plants vs. Zombies is right behind it. Do they really need EA or is it the other way around? Job Search Day 1

Anyone need the skills of an out of work QA Tester and former tech support engineer? Anyone? Maybe I can work the popcorn machine at the movie theater… Blood hell Monster is a complete SPAM site. Nothing but BS ads and scams galore. It’s amazing this is a legitimate business. Or is it? I signed up for LinkedIn. My god, what a security nightmare that site is. Let me go ahead and publicly list all the companies I’ve worked for and all my friends. Is there any additional information you need to impersonate me? Why in the hell do people sign up for this crap?

Terraria on sale at Steam

Terraria is on sale now at Steam. It was originally listed at 75% off which is when I got it for $2.49. But just minutes later it jumped to $4.99 which is 50% off. Not sure what’s going on there, the game is on sale but it’s a gamble as to what price you get. If you want to check it out now is as good a time as any. Even 50% off is worth it. Terraria on Steam

There was another showdown and a lot of yelling ensued. I "didn’t miss the point of the exercise" of you not doing your job for 8 months. You’re a slackass shitty manager and you got called out on it. Everyone knows you screwing up and your running with your blame thrower on annihilate trying to divert attention away from yourself. That’s it for me, I’ve called it quits. After three years I’ve thrown in the towel. I can’t take another day of this bullshit. Of course the timing is horrible since I don’t have another job lined up. But I’d rather be out of work than put up with a shitty manager like that. I’ll take the weekend off and then try to figure out what to do.

Don’t ask me what I think of your management style unless you really want to hear the truth. After all this crap I’m gonna come right out and say you suck at this. Meetings are being held and the clock is ticking. It’s time to get the hell out of here. I can see the writing on the wall. I can tell what’s coming. It’s time to move on as quickly as possible. I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this but I don’t there’s another option. Some ill words have been exchanged that’s for sure. The end is coming. If I last through the week it’ll be a miracle.
