Why is Daemon Tools Lite triggering Norton Internet Security Anti-Virus?

At first, I thought Daemon Tools Lite was a pretty damn good find. It was small, usable, cheap and had plenty of functionality. I still think the program is a good one, but I have reservations now since my AV software is triggering the installer as having plenty of malware inside. After downloading the latest version DTLite501-0406, Norton became quite angry and wanted to remove the entire archive saying it had "Open Candy" inside. What is that you ask? OpenCandy is a potentially unwanted application that includes offers for additional third-party applications during the installation process of legitimate applications. Which doesn’t sound that bad, plenty of apps out there offer to install Chrome or toolbars and other things. Normally you just click No and go about your business.
