Manage vs. Appigo ToDo – Which is Best?

Manage vs. Appigo ToDo – Which is Best?

If you need a task manager or ToDo list then now is the time to strike! Two excellent choices are now available and each is only $0.99. Appigo ToDo has dropped in price from $4.99 to $0.99 during this holiday season which makes it a great deal. In fact, after the price drop I was compelled to get a copy. I already had Manage which is a fine task manager, and is also on sale for $0.99. So now we come to, which is best?

As with so many of these types of questions, it depends. Manage is simple and straightforward. You can make multiple sheets and each sheet has a list of tasks. You can highlight those tasks, set the priority and make subtasks underneath them. I find it very useful, and for simple tasks I keep, this app is excellent. Manage is good for tracking errands and grocery lists as well. It will keep you informed and let you know what you need to get done in the future.

Appigo ToDo supports subtasks as well, but it also let’s you create projects. Theses projects are single entries that open a whole new page full of tasks. It’s actually very project management like, so if that’s what you need then this is an app you should be looking at.

ToDo also integrates with Outlook (although I haven’t tested this feature yet) which is a feature Manage doesn’t offer. The iPad will sync with Outlook on it’s own if you’re using iTunes, but it’s not always convenient or wise to sync with iTunes at the corporate office. I’ll be testing this feature after I get back from the holiday break. If it works, the prospect is pretty exciting.

Out of the two, Appigo ToDo is the more customizable. It supports themes so you can change the look and feel from the default blue. There are also more themes you can buy from within the app, so there’s plenty of ways to spend more money on this app.

So which is the better app? It really depends on what you want to do. Right now ToDo is the better app simply because it offers more features (if you need them), Outlook integration, and cloud sync at the same price. So if you jump on board now during the sale, ToDo is the clear winner. However, Manage is a clean and simple task manager for the rest of us, so if you just want to keep track of you daily routine, keep some reminders, log some errands and put together a grocery list, then Manage is a fine choice. In fact, I had my Christmas list inside Manage this year and found it extremely convenient!

But quite frankly, at these prices you could get both and feel completely satisfied. I did. And do.

Maybe I should've written that in a different font.
