German Hefeweizen is all done

It’s beer time! So here we are with the latest creation, a German Hefeweizen. If you recall a few months back I did an American Hefeweizen which I thought was extremely good and easy drinking. This time around I put together a German Hefeweizen to see how they compare. Right off the bat you notice the German version has a stronger wheat flavor, but it still has that wonderful orange color. It’s a much stronger flavor than the American version and has significantly more kick that Blue Moon or Pyramid. I’m looking forward to this one aging a bit more. I think it’s a bit too new and raw to fully show it’s flavors. Since this is the homebrew version I also need to make sure this one is extremely cold to capture all the sediment. Overall though I think we have another fine beer making example.

This will be first time I’ve had to actually work a shift around DST. Normally I just show up on Monday like everyone else and say how dark it is outside. At least I get an extra hour of sleep. The guys on the other shift have to repeat that hour.

Poker Pals – Good, but it could be better

Like Scrabble, you build off other hands to create an even more powerful hand for yourself. It’s a great idea, but the execution isn’t all that thrilling. The game isn’t bad, but I feel it was lacking something. It doesn’t have that thrill like Swords and Poker. The Scrabble element is there, but it doesn’t do much to enhance the game. It’s a nice addon, but it needs more. You can place cards anywhere so you don’t get that same sense of strategy. It’s not like Scrabble where you’re only one letter away from […]
