I only quit the Royal Safe Event to start with the new Epic Boss Event. I’ve already made it through Level 5 so let’s see how far I can make it. Last time I fell flat on my face at Level 16. I almost had number 17, but didn’t quite have enough to complete it. Let’s see what free weapons I can get out of this deal. Bet I’m done by tomorrow morning.
Another blow to the Windows 8 Tablet – Samsung has decided making a Windows 8 tablet isn’t worth the trouble. Samsung also states there is no clear definition and direction for the Windows 8 tablet. You have to wonder how other companies feel about the Windows 8 tablet and Windows 8 in general. Sales and reception of the new OS have been pretty lean so far. Maybe people are holding out for the Windows 8 Pro, but considering the price point I don’t think people are going to jump for that device. iOS and Android are still the favored platforms for users. Ubuntu entering the mobile arena is going to gain more interest than Windows 8 will. Microsoft has to realize that a PC in a different case is still a PC. Ok, how the hell did this happen? I got three Crown Jewels right after I got the Double Decker Decoy and just got the final Crown Jewel mere moments ago. I’ve never gotten this far in one of these events. Pretty cool. You know, I’m going to keep playing this damn event even though time has expired. I’ve managed to grab a couple extra items, so why not.
Well, this is a bit of surprise, I got the 15th Crown and got the Decoy Double Decker. I figured I would be stuck at 10 for the rest of the event, but I got extremely lucky and got a series of Crown Jewels. I’ve never made it this far in one of these events before. I’m not sure what a mafia gang needs with a double decker bus, but I have one.
We all shall now feign surprise… Here’s a little nugget from MaximumPC that shows Android is actually gaining the most ground when it comes to mobile devices. Android gained the most users, increasing its share of the mobile market from 52.6 percent to 53.7 percent, while iOS jumped from 34.3 percent to 35 percent. All other mobile players saw a decline. RIM dropped a percentage point to 7.3 percent, Microsoft is down to 3 percent, and Symbian continues to wither away as it clings to just 0.5 percent of smartphones in the U.S. Microsoft Loses Mobile Market Share to Google and Apple
