Relax on the Beach, Beachfront Retreat Limited Time Building (LTB) – Crime City
Gree has posted the new Limited Time Building (LTB) for Crime City and this one goes in a different direction than all the other. This time around we have a defense building with 10,000 defense to start. The reward for completing each upgrade is a new BMW Beach Roadster with 21725/14483 Atk/Def +1% Car Attack. On the surface it doesn’t look half bad, a way to increase your defense and perhaps keep some urchin thieves at bay. But look at the cost of this thing! It starts at $100 million. The first upgrade is $116 million. Jump to the end and it’s $10 BILLION for the final upgrade. Without any modifiers this building will cost $25 Billion to finish. And that’s before you use any gold to actually beat the clock.
Even with a 50% Cost Reduction it still costs $4.9 Billion for the final upgrade and $12 Billion overall.
People kept asking for a super expensive LTB and here it is. This is clearly out of range for most players. I thought I had quite a stockpile of cash for the next LTB, but I won’t hit Level 7. Nor would I want to. This is an utter waste of cash. As some argue, what’s the point of spending $5 Billion if you’ll never get it back. I can upgrade a Pagoda and the West End Gems for this money. I’ve started to build 1 and because I have the 50% cost reduction I might go as high as Level 4, but that’s it. This gives me plenty of time to upgrade the rest of my hood.
So, who’s got the cash to take this one all the way? If not, how far do you plan on upgrading? I’m curious to know what other people think.
