Save 33% on Assetto Corsa on Steam – $26.65

Another Early Access game is on sale at Steam. Assetto Corsa gets a nice 33% discount and drops to $26.65. I’ve been waiting for another sale on this game. I didn’t get a copy the last time aroud simply because there wasn’t enough content in the game to justify the cost. At the time $29.95 got you a single car and a single track. Plus the game was incredibly limited. Even though it was Early Access, the cost didn’t justify the end result. But things have changed. Assetto Corsa has been massively updated since then with dozens of new cars and plenty of tracks. It’s still early days, but I’ve watched a lot of videos and this game is looking spectacular. The graphics are already impressive, the driving AI is coming along nicely and overall it looks very playable. There are some glitches here and there, but that’s to be expected – it’s still under development. I just grabbed my […]

More Racing Fun with Need for Speed On Sale at Amazon

Steam isn’t the only one selling pieces of the Need for Speed series on the cheap. Amazon has several recent titles in their stable that you can grab for just a few bucks. While Steam is selling off the older assets, Amazon has some of the newer titles such as The Run, Rivals and Most Wanted. If you’re looking to round out your collection, now is a good time to buy. I picked up The Run and Rivals. I’ve never played The Run, but the gameplay videos on YouTube don’t look too bad. I’ve seen Rivals on the PS4 and while the graphics looked good, it was damn near unplayable with the controller. I hope something was out of adjustment and the game is a lot better than that. The reviews are pretty mixed with a lot of people saying this is a pretty poor port of the game. For the price, I’ll take the gamble and see how it […]

Plague Inc Evolved – Chronic Masturbation Has Successfully Eliminated All Life On Earth

We knew it was only a matter of time, but my disease, Chronic Masturbation has ended all life on earth. See what happens when you spend all your time in front of a computer? Anyway, as I mentioned the Plague Inc Evolved Early Access version of the game is available on Steam and I grabbed a copy as soon as I got home. I’ve tried a couple of games and just got finished off the world in the Bacteria level. I managed to penetrate Greenland and make the contagion resistant to cold. I also invested in symptoms that are more deadly in the cold. That’s been the biggest problem – I can get every part of the world but Greenland. Once they shut down the seaport it’s all over. But, I did well in this one. An infected ship docked while the port was still open and all it takes is one sick person and the whole area is mine. […]

Plague Inc comes to the Desktop via Steam and Early Access

The deadly hit, Plague Inc is spreading across to a new platform and is now in Early Access on Steam. For those with tablets, this has been a big hit and you can spend hours trying to find the right combination of Transmission,Symptom and Ability to cause havoc and destruction on a global scale. But now Plague Inc is available on Steam with all the features you know and plenty of new ones to come. It looks like you’ll be able to play both sides of the coin – create the cure or destroy the world. As expected this is Early Access which means it’s basically an Alpha builds that is prone to crashes and won’t be feature complete. But the main elements of the game are in place, so you should have plenty to work with. I introduced the game to several people at work and now they’re all addicted. We’ve been comparing scores and our ability to infect […]

Dead Man’s Draw from Stardock Comes to the PC by way of Steam

Stardock has just released a Windows based version of Dead Man’s Draw which they debuted on the iPad a few months ago. You can get the complete version with no in-app purchases all the Traits ready to play for $9.99 on Steam. I bought the iOS version and think it’s a brilliant game. The Traits and Tournaments make the game incredibly interesting with each player and their unique way to play. Also, trying to decide if it’s worth picking up the next card to improve your score or hit a combo can make for some nerve racking games. When Stardock first released Dead Man’s Draw, I wondered whether it would come out as a PC game. Well, here’s the answer. They’re deliver the game on Steam and it’s only $9.99. It just released a couple of hours ago and I’m off to buy a copy. Dead Man’s Draw on Steam How it Works Players take turns drawing cards in search […]
