New update for Ask the Tiki

I forgot to mention, we pushed out an update for Ask the Tiki. This brings us to version 1.1 and with that we now have over 500 phrases of wisdom as well as new shake to ask features and several other optimizations. We have some additional new features planned, plus you never know when more phrases will make their way into the code. As always, Ask the Tiki is still free even though the pearls of wisdom it offers up are absolutely priceless!

Bought the Disturbed CD this weekend

I finally remembered to by the Asylum album from Disturbed this weekend. But after a listen I have mixed feelings about it. It doesn’t have the same drive as Indestructible or the some power as Ten Thousand Fists. I liked several of the songs, but I’m not sure what I think about the CD as a whole. Considering the title and some of the marketing I was expecting a slightly heavier, darker album. I will have to listen to it a few more times, but so far I don’t think this is their best effort so far. Was I just not in the right mood or is this CD not quite on the same level as the previous efforts? Overall it’s pretty good, but it almost seems like something is missing.

What I wish the iPod Touch update would have contained

Now that we know what new features are coming in the Touch, here’s the things I would like to have seen. I wish it would have actually been bigger or at least stay the same size. I don’t see a need to keep making it smaller and thinner. I would like to have seen a 128GB model. Considering the Touch is becoming, and for many already is, a mobile gaming platform it needs more storage space to accommodate the massive amount of games out there. There are so many great games that 64GB just isn’t going to be enough. At 128GB you can have plenty of space for music (20GB in my case), an entire season of TV shows at the ready (such as Burn Notice and True Blood) and 64GB+ available for games. A bigger battery. This is why I want the device to be bigger. I’m using the device all the time and the battery just isn’t lasting […]

Veggie Samurai – Free for Today!!

Regardless of whether people think this is a direct copy of Fruit Ninja or not, the game is a hell of a lot of fun to play. I have both and enjoy each of them for their unique gameplay. On it’s own merits it has great graphics, excellent gameplay, fun sounds when cutting veggies and multiple game modes. To dislike a game because it’s a copy of another game is just plain stupid. So we can’t have Diablo clones, or Quake clones or Poker clones? It’s an excellent game for $0.99 but for free it’s amazing! Jump to it and grab a copy!
