BloggerPlus – An excellent blogging tool for the iPad

I’ve just recently started using BloggerPlus (Blogger+) and I’m already impressed it’s features and usability. First off it’s one of the few blogging tools that integrates into Blogger by Google. But it also handles WordPress blogs with ease. So what makes it better than the free WordPress app? Quite simply Blogger+ handles adding hyperlinks and photos much better than the other apps. You can add labels and categories by pressing a button. You can add images and links to YouTube just as easily. You can post the same entry to multiple blogs and the account management is very good. Once a post is completed you can send a copy in email as well as send a notification to Twitter or Facebook. I haven’t done much blogging from my iPad because the tools have needed work. Specifically, adding photos and links has been too problematic. I think that is about to change with Blogger+. If you’ve been looking for a solid […]

10 Talismans – A match 3 worth playing

I’m normally not a huge fan of match 3 games because I find them very repetitive and not that imaginative. 10 Talismans is an exception to that rules. It has wonderful and cute graphics, a fun little background song, and boards that are extremely fun to play. You are just matching tiles, you have to uncover all the squares and that may mean making a match on the same tile 2 or 3 times. All the will a wick burns to a huge barrel of gunpowder. This is a match 3 games actually offers a challenge and excitement. As you may guessed the object is to get 10 talismans. To get a talisman you need to clear multiple levels. And each level has a unique and tricky layout. While you work you can link items together to get board clearing power-ups, free the hammer so you get that hard to reach tile and the hourglass to give yourself more time. […]

Has Netflix sunk its own ship?

So, I’m reading the poll results and it looks like nearly 60% of the subscribers are going to bail out on Netflix because of the claimed price hike. I really have to question why. Sure, it used to be DVD and VOD were bundled under the same plan, but let’s be serious here that was way too damn cheap for Netflix to really make any money and we all knew it wouldn’t last. That was to get you hooked and thwart competitors. $16 a month is still insanely cheap for the entertainment Netflix offers. Let’s put it this way, that is still less than going to the movies one time with a date/spouse/vagabond. For that same cost you get thousands of TV shows available at the click of a button and tens of thousands of movies including the latest releases. Any price hike is going to rub people the wrong way, but let’s keep this in perspective. If you only […]

Job Search Day 3 – I might have a lead

Its times like this when you should take a moment to pause and reflect. You should be careful of who you shit on when you’re climbing the corporate ladder, you never know who you’ll meet on the way back down. Some former colleagues of mine are looking for a guy to do some tech support and they heard I was available. We talked over some details and I went in for an interview. I didn’t bomb the interview or soil myself so that’s a good thing. It would be working with Exchange 2010 and several other server apps. It could be interesting but I would have a ton to learn. It was pretty cool site and several of the guys I used to work with are there now. That alone could be interesting. I guess we’ll have to see how this turns out.
