Defy the laws of physics with Bike Baron

Now this is what I like to see, an outrageous and ridiculous game that’s a hell of a lot of fun and costs only a dollar. Bike Baron by Mountain Sheep is just such a game. You play the Bike Baron, some sort of strange motorcycle riding stunt man with a devil may care attitude and a toy teddy bear (or it is a cat?) strapped to the back of his bike. Your goal is to complete the outrageous course, collect the coins and reach the finish line in the fastest time possible. The course is a series of jumps, loops and pitfalls that you have to negotiate with the right amount of speed and finesse. It’s also mined with explosives that will send you flying should you over or under shoot. And you do all this to the cheers of excitement and screams of panic as you defy death and destruction. This game is outlandish is every way, which […]

My Pumpkin Buddies

Check out these little guys! They were made by a friend of mine who works with polymer clay. It seems he had a few moments to spare over the weekend and made himself a pumpkin patch. I can only assume this was done while he was waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear. I’m not sure if these were an offering or a presentation of a standing army. The Great Pumpkin can be fickle you know. Either way, they are cute as hell and each one is unique. As you can see, some have small mouths, some have jagged mouths, some have teeth, some are smiling and some look scared. You can even see the vines have differences between them. I hope he’ll sell these on his Etsy store, but even if not I wanted to share them with you. Maybe you can leave a comment and persuade him to sell a couple. Pretty neat aren’t they?

Ginger Beer tasting

Back in September, I started my batch of Ginger Beer; a dark and chunky blend that included real bits of ginger. It looked dark, had floaty bits and generated an impressive head on it. When it was first crafted, I made the comment that it looked and smelled more like Guinness than anything else. Well, after opening the bottle and having a glass I stick to my original assumption. I think this Ginger Beer looks and tastes more like Guinness than any sort of ginger ale. But, is that a good thing? After the initial shock, I focused on just the flavor of the beer and I have to say I like it. It’s dark, there’s no doubt about that. The color is like a cola. There are aromatics of coffee. When you first taste it you expect a bitter finish, but it never comes. I found it very smooth and drinkable with barely any bitter finish. There is just […]

Think twice, delete once

Seriously people think twice before you delete something out of your Inbox. Do you know how much it costs in time and effort to restore a 300GB mail database? And before you go off saying it was the most important email you’ve ever sent and the entire success of the company relies on it, why didn’t you take 10 seconds to copy it to a PST folder? Huh?! It’s called a PST and the archive function. Use it!

I found a new Poker game

I’m a big fan of computer poker and when I got my iPod Touch Apple’s Texas Hold ‘Em game was one of the first games I bought. And it’s pretty good to. The graphics are good and so are the controls, but for some reason they never updated the game for the iPad. That’s a damn shame too, I would have upgraded no problem. However, I have found a nice alternative, Texas Hold’em for iPad By Arawella Corporation. It has a lot of the same features, nice graphics and easy controls. One thing that bugs me about the other games is the betting. Many apps limit how that works and set all sorts of limits. That’s no fun. This game uses the same spinner that Apple uses. Another thing that bugs me is that most games want you to play multiplayer all the time. I don’t want to do that. I just want to hang out and play on my […]
