Scrabble HD Free from Electronic Arts – Wow, what a damn mess!

In order to try and capitalize on the Words with Friends phenomenon, Electronic Arts has released Scrabble HD Free that allows you to compete against friends across the network using Game Center and Facebook. What seems like a neat idea comes across an Ad ridden annoying mess. The ads across the bottom of the screen and ads after your turn make this came incredibly frustrating. Quite frankly it’s stupid. EA would have been better off charging $1.99 or $0.99 and letting people play the game without these in your face hindrances. It took less than 5 minutes to decide this game wasn’t worth keeping and remove it from the iPad. EA needs to go back to writing games that people want to play and charge a fair price for them rather than this "free to play" concept which is driving me nuts. Let me pay for a game and don’t nag me about it anymore. Don’t charge me for bundle […]

Be Careful of that iOS6 Update, It’ll Ruin Your Exchange Server

If you have an iPad in the Enterprise and use your iPad with an Exchange Server you might want to hold off on that 6.1 upgrade – it’ll f@ck up your environment something fierce. Apple has made yet another massive mistake with iOS and Calendaring. When you use ActiveSync it generates huge amounts of traffic, fills the log drive and more than likely will corrupt your calendar. If you’re a user, don’t connect that device. If you’re an IT admin, you better block that device. Apple iOS 6.1 upgrades result in excessive transaction log growth http://www.windowsitpro.com/blog/tony-redmonds-exchange-unwashed-50/exchange-server/apple-ios-61-upgrade-excessive-transaction-log-growth-145223 Is iOS6.1 causing Excessive logging? 3 Painting Crates and the Museum Heist Mask

The Painting Crate Event has just started but I managed to get three Modern Painting open and got the Museum Heist Mask. I do well the first day of an event and get the first prize then everything grinds to a halt. I’m sure I’ll open crates for the rest of the day and won’t get a damn thing out of the deal. I’m sure I’ll return to the standard rate of opening 15 crates a day with 1 painting to show for it. I’ve also noticed there is something else dropping that looks like "bricks". After doing some checking this appears to be part of an upcoming expansion. This is part of a new offering called Syndicates which should be implemented in the near future. Bricks will help you with upgrades and are a form of currency. Bricks: what they are, their purpose (syndicates)

Painting Crate Event – Crime City

It’s time for another Crime City Event where we loot the city and steal Painting Crates for fabulous cash and prizes. This is another event I like because prizes are handed out at the 3,5,7,9 and 10 marks. The prizes look decent with #10 being a little askew in my opinion. The rest of the items are 1168A/198D and the Discreet Getaway Car is 1315A/989D. Makes the think the car is just about unobtainable unless you piss away a few hundred if not thousand in gold. I hope I can get it just using cash opens, but I’m extremely doubtful. The event just started so I have over 4 days to make some progress. Let’s see how this works out.
