Posts by Pico – A quick review of the blog editing tool

I’ve worked with Posts for a little while now, enough to form an opinion of how it works. And overall it’s a pretty nice little program that has a lot of features going for it. With a couple of simple feature fixes, it could rise to the top of the blog editing software pile and hold it’s own against the likes of Blogsy and Poster. Here are several of the features I really like: The thumbnail view of articles is pretty nice. The titles show up in large print like a slew of newspaper headlines. It supports multiple blogs both from WordPress and Blogger. You can edit and post comments from within Posts itself. The editor is very efficient. You can use formatting such as H1, Blockquote or Pre tags. You can insert links, indent, add images, select the publicating date, set the Category and Tags as well as jump into the HTML editor to fine tune the formatting. You […]

Dynasty Case Event Complete – Twin Sword #10 Drops in My Lap

This is quite unbeleievable. As the sun comes up, with 2 days left in the event, I just got the last Twin Sword and out popped the Imperial HK Mark 23 gun!! And I did it without spending any gold. Ain’t that some sh$&?!?! It’s been months since I’ve completed an entire event, especially when prize number 10 is the Über weapon. I’ve missed out on plenty of cars and weapons by just that last open. Good Luck Everyone!!!

Installing Flash Player for FireFox under Windows 8

Well this is a bit strange, I need to install Flash for Firefox, but Windows 8 seems to be against the idea. I go to the Adobe site, download the installer, run it, but get an error about the Metafile and then my download is actually deleted. I download the installer again, Run as Administrator, the installer starts, but it’s deleted again and I still don’t have Flash installed. If I go to IE10, Flash is playable. What the hell is going on here? I’ll just add this to the ever growing list of things I don’t like about Windows 8. But, there is a way to get around this – download the full Flash install. Instead of using the Stub Installer, I downloaded the Full Install and was able to get it to work. Go here – http://www.filehorse.com/download-flashplayer-firefox/ and click the Download button. This is the Flash Player 11.7.700.169 (Non-IE) Flash Player 11.7.700.169 (Non-IE). I don’t know why I […]

Crime City throws out yet another event with the Dynasty Case Event featuring the Twin Swords

It’s a trifecta of events going on at the same time. Gree has unleashed another event, the Dynasty Case Event to find Twin Swords so you can turn them in for fabulous cash and prizes. This is a 10 item event with the main prize of an Imperial Mark 23 with 1588A and 1300D. The Pagoda Pandamonium event is still well underway (I’m late to the game and have a Level 3 upgrade going) and the Crime City Hit Lists Event is dropping weapons left and right (I’ve made it to Level 23 so far). If that wasn’t enough ways to make you spend gold and lay down some PvP action, you have a third way of making it happen. This is a shorter event so good luck to one and all! The power weapons are just raining down aren’t they?

Posts by Pico is still Free and you should grab a copy

I got my copy yesterday and this is turning out to be a pretty impressive app. The thumbnail view of the posts is pretty interesting, it makes them seem like newspaper headlines. There are a lot of features like setting a future date on posts, control over image size, responding to comments from within the app, multiple blog support and an HTML editor. I haven’t really put Posts through it’s paces yet, but so far I like what I see. I did write an article for the blog and replied to some comments. I had no problems. Since Posts is free for the time being there is no reason not to download it and check it out. It has some decent features and offers quite a bit of control. I’ll post more of my opinions once I work with it a bit more, but so far I don’t see a reason not to at least download it and give it […]
