Slugging through the mud in SpinTires

I finally set aside the time and went on a 4-wheeling adventure in SpinTires and I have to say it was extremely difficult, very slow going, wrought with danger and I didn’t complete a single objective. However, the time spent was very enjoyable and full of unpredictable moments that made me laugh and shake my fists in the air. First off, what is SpinTires? It’s basically an off-road adventure of orienteering and logging. The goal is to retrieve a load of lumber from Point A and drive it to Point B. Sounds pretty simple except that Point B is at the end of a windy, muddy track and the correct route may not even be visible on the map until you do some scouting in one of the other vehicles. If the idea of crawling through the mud or traversing impossible terrain doesn’t sound like fun, then SpinTires is not the game for you. The first goal is to remove […]

End of Summer Monster Game

So it was a completely ridiculous game, but still amusing. I thought my first couple of entries in the Steam Monster game were pretty good, but this last one was unreal. The game I got pulled into had players who were utterly out of control and hell bent on setting every record Steam had to offer. We surpassed a million levels and I earned trillions in gold. And besides playing this silly little thing, I bought a bunch of new games at a massive discount. I got a couple of Indie titles and picked up some nice DLC. I’m not sure which game I want to play first, but I have so much to keep me entertained, that’s for damn sure.

Steam Monster Summer Game Gone Mad!

So here we are less than an hour into the new game of the day and we’ve already completed half the levels we completed today and over400B in gold is sitting in my account. Things are moving so fast I can barely pick a target. And since we’re moving so fast, I don’t even know what to spend all this gold on. I know the upgrade path I want to go with, but there is so much chaos, I can barely concentrate. This mob is serious!

Level 20,000 in the Steam Summer Game

So, I thought getting to level 7,000+ was pretty damn impressive and walking away with 15,000M+ in gold was pretty cool. That was until we ended today with over 20,000 levels and over 130B in gold. And that was the third time I hit 130B in gold during the event. I upgraded dozens of weapons and defenses during the day and night giving me massive HP and DPS. Ok, it’s an utterly dorky game, but somehow it’s still amusing and if you let yourself get into it, it’ll take up a lot of your time. So, silly as hell, but yet I’m strangely drawn to it. Go figure.

Level 7130 in the Steam Monster Summer Game

Not sure if it’s any good or not, but hit Level 7130 in the last round for the Steam Monster Summer Game. That game is silly as hell, but I’ll be damned if it’s not actually entertaining to play. I’m not sure if there is a real strategy for this game, but I certainly see there is a bit of method to the madness. It took me awhile to discover there are unlockable traits and abilities. With that little nugget of info, it’s off for the next round of battles. Let’s see where we end up.
