Back in the driver’s seat of Grid Autosport

I decided to put down the flaming arrows and death touch from Shroud of the Avatar and jump behind the wheel in Grid Autosport. I’ve been away from the racing games too long and the need to speed through a chicane at breakneck speeds has been missing from my life. I’m not sure if I’m ready to face the frustrations of Assetto Corsa just yet, so Autosport it is! I decided the series of the day would be Open Wheel. I’ve done a couple of the other series, but the thrill of being strapped to a large engine with nothing but a couple of pieces of carbon fiber separating us sounded great! But right off the bat something felt wrong. No, the graphics are quite excellent, the controller worked fine and the tracks were nicely rendered. No, it was something with me. I noticed it when I went out for a qualifying lap. I hadn’t been doing the qualifying laps […]

Shamrock Pub Limited Time Building (LTB) – Building Payout and Upgrade Cost – Crime City

Ah, so here we are with a new building just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. The Shamrock Pub is a costly little structure with an opening price tag of $99 million. The base payout is $779k every 12 hours. Taking those stats into account, this isn’t that great of a building. The price is high, the return is low. But if you have modifiers, it gets quite a bit better. To fully upgrade will cost you just shy of $24 Billion which to be honest is pretty damn ridiculous. But at that level you get $58 Million every 12 hours. That’s somewhat respectable. With the modifiers you can cut the upgrade cost in half to $12 Billion and bump the payout to nearly $100 Million every 12 hours. Collecting $200 Million a day from this alone isn’t too shabby. That would make it one of the higher ranking buildings we’ve been offered so far. The price is the Lucky […]

24 Hours to go in Underworld Ascendant. Lizardmen raised, sights set on Companion Creatures Stretch Goal.

Oh my goodness, will you look at this? Whilst I slumbered, the total goal for Underworld Ascendant has passed through the Lizardmen stretch goal and is working it’s way to toward Companion Creatures. This is phenomenal news! But there is an exciting prize halfway to the finish line of the next stretch goal. It looks like Enhanced Music and an titillating new area called the Necrotic Graveyard is at our fingertips. I mean, who doesn’t want to go into the Underworld and pay a visit to the Necrotic Graveyard? What could possibly go wrong in a place like that? I’m sure it’s a lovely place to sit a spell and contemplate the adventures of the day. If there is a day, it is the Underworld after all. I have to admit, things looked a little sluggish in those early days. Underworld burst onto the scene, then like most projects hit the middle lull. Oh but It’s full steam ahead now! […]

48 Hours left for Underworld Ascendant – Tracy Hickman novel obtained, within reach of the Lizardmen

Wow, the excitement builds as we hit the last 48 hours of the Kickstarter campaign for Underworld Ascendant. Not only has the game been fully funded with room to spare, it’s pushed through a couple of the stretch goals. The Underswamp will be added and we have set into motion another Tracy Hickman novel. Not only that, we are within striking distance of the Lizardmen, a new race to be added to the game. And speaking of added to the game, several new digital items have been added such as Chattering Bart (and his counterpart Chattering Bertha in SotA), shields, faction banners and t-shirts. And there’s plenty of fun to be had at each pledge level with digital copies of the game, alpha access, design sessions, signed boxes, parchments, art and behind the scenes videos. But the real fun is about to begin. The underworld has been raised and we will forge ahead with sculpting and creating a fantastic adventure […]

Besiege Machine of Mass Destruction!

Besiege is just awesome. It’s hard to downplay that. You get blocks, you get weapons, you put the weapons on the blocks and then plow headlong into danger. What could be more fun that that?! So here is a machine I’m quite proud of. Not because it looks cool or has some sort of innovative design. Or because it will perform some task that will make your jaw drop and look upon me with envy. It has none of those things. What it does have are spinning blades of death! Four of them! I take them and charge right into the middle of the crowd and let the carnage fly! The body count goes through the roof in a matter of seconds. In fact, this is the fastest I’ve ever cleared a level and my machine is still in one piece at the end, not the usual broken mess of parts. I get no points for style, but I should […]
