She just couldn’t keep up

It all started off so good. It had all the potential in the world. There was heat, there was flashing, but the rhythm was broken and we had to stop. I push her buttons just right and we can start again, but it just doesn’t last. The DSL modem is still flaking out. It keeps shutting itself off.

Oh, she went down on me

And not in that freaky back of the short bus kind of way What a colossal mess! My Internet connection went out Sunday night and after spending yesterday and today arguing with them they’ve finally decided to stop blaming me for the problem and have agreed to give in and send me a new DSL modem. Hopefully it will be here in the morning. Through some strange twist of fate, I managed to get it up (sometimes you really have to concentrate) and get it running again. I guess if you press Reset enough times the device gives in and starts to work. There’s a whole lot of flashing going on and the modem is lighting up too. I have no idea how long this will last (I say that a lot, it’s kind of embarrassing), but I don’t trust it for a second.

Ingredients 3 pounds beef chuck, diced 1/2-inch cubes 1/2 cup flour 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1 onion, diced 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper 1 tablespoon ground coriander 1 tablespoon celery seed 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup soy sauce 4 cups beef or chicken stock 4 sheets puff pastry 1 egg, beaten, to glaze crust Black pepper Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Dredge beef in flour and […]

Aussie Cooking

Ordered the Good Food from Australia cookbook. Now I can try my hand at making meat pies. Now all I have to do is find my Vegemite. Of course you have to wonder, if there any way to tell when Vegemite actually goes bad? If it’s not black, it’s not good?
