🎮 The Death of Crime City

After all the heists, muggings, looting, and dirty deals down by the docks, Crime City has come to an end. Over the course of 9 years, I robbed hoods, did jobs across dozens of areas, created a syndicate, then ultimately took charge of another. I built a multi-trillion dollar empire and had so many buildings I had to tear some of them down. I’ve even seen the game pass through the hands of three studios. I installed Crime City “HD” on my iPad, almost as a joke, thinking it might be an amusing variation on the old Dope Wars game, going back to the DOS days. I figured I would play for a day, maybe two, then move on. To my surprise, Crime City wasn’t bad. I knew it was funded through the continual purchase of gold to overcome building times, but I liked the idea of playing a game for a limited window of time, setting up a string […]

Put another trillion on the fire – Crime City

This truly does step firmly into the realm of the ridiculous. I have just added another trillion dollars to my bank account in Crime City. This on top of completing the Limited Buildings we’ve had since January. I honestly have no idea what to do with this sort of cash. None of the buildings come close to putting a dent in my reserves and I’ve donated billions to the syndicate. For those playing along, this puts me at $450M IPH.

Topping out with a Trillion Dollars in Crime City

Well, I figured this day was eventually going to come around. There was sort of no way to avoid it. Over the weekend, I topped out my bank account at over $1 Trillion dollars and have a current IPH of $393.7. Others have done the same thing, but I figured I would showcase this silly little achievement. I also think this might also be a good time to step away from Crime City. While it’s amusing to generate the cash and put up the buildings, the game has sort of run it’s course. We’re in a cycle of doing the same thing over and over again. The new events are just a rehash of old ideas and it’s nothing but Syndicate events. We’re basically going around in circles and I haven’t finished any of the actual Solo goals in more than a year. With that, probably time to put this away. Maybe I’ll keep putting up the LTBs or maybe […]

Little Man Diner Limited Time Building (LTB) – Building Payout and Upgrade Cost – Crime City

So here is the next LTB, the Little Man Diner which has a small footprint and somewhat meager output. This is pretty much the norm these days. As usual, it’ll cost over $30 Billion to upgrade all the way. If you have the right modifiers you can drop that by half. the reward for each level is – Sinful Hot Cocoa atk-338,000 def-182,000 with +1% Explosive Defense. Not a great reward as you can get better by completing the first couple of levels of the latest Elite event. Yes, no prizes for guessing I have two of these upgrading already. They may not be the coolest buildings, but I’m still going to buy and upgrade them. That’s just the way I do things. 🙂 As an aside, I’m steadily climbing to the next big money tier. Base building cost and payout Level Cost Income Hours 1 $130,754,944 $1,029,090 24 2 $218,360,756 $2,058,180 30 3 $364,662,463 $3,601,815 36 4 $608,986,314 $5,659,995 […]

Bait and Tackle Limited Time Building (LTB) – Building Payout and Upgrade Cost – Crime City

The Bait and Tackle LTB has been out for awhile, but this is the first time I’ve seen the complete list of stats. This is another less than spectacular offering that won’t do much to increase IPH, especially without modifiers. The initial cost is just shy of $130M and will cost the usual $32B to complete. That will yield and income of $32M every 17 hours. The collection amount and time are certainly less than stellar. As we’ve seen before, the reward is the low defense item "Weapon Payload" with 403,800 atk and 100,900 def with +1% Melee Attack. Seriously, when can we get a weapon with decent defense on it? To be honest, I would like to see Gree show some stones and throw out a multibillion dollar building with a reward sporting a couple of million in attack and defense. Give me a building that costs a few billion to buy but also gives me a final income […]
